Jetpack – The Most Fun Sci-Fi Application
As crazy as it might sound, a lot of modern inventions have been inspired by science fiction. The jetpack is one of such inventions! The jetpack was first described and theorized by H.G Wells in his comic book “Amazing Stories” way back during the 1920s. Ever since then, this idea has been made possible, practical even. Now, jetpacks aren’t only found in illustrations and comic books, but rather, real-life itself. After almost a century of designing, now, should you have a couple of thousand dollars to shell off, you can buy yourself a personal jet pack. We owe this fundamental idea to the writers and illustrators of “Jetpack Dreams”.
Warp Drive – A Look Into The Sci-fi Theory
The idea of a Warp Drive has been around for a while. It was first put in the limelight by John W. Campbell when he highlighted it in his 1931 comic “Islands of Space”. The warp drive is essentially a theoretical spacecraft quality which allows a vehicle to travel at an abnormally high speed. Travel faster than light. This idea can be seen in many works of science fiction such as Star Trek, I Robot, Star Wars, etc. Although it is not physically made or possible yet; theoretically speaking, this concept is achievable. Read ahead to find out how!
