All About Information Communication Technology Models

A term that has been derived from Information Technology, Information Communication technology Models is a concept whereby Telecommunications, computers, necessary software and storage are unified. It brings all of this under a single umbrella, thus providing the users with the ability to access, store and transmit information quite easily. This merging of telecommunications with computer networks also has huge economic benefits.

A Few Ways To Access Information Communication Technology Models

As defined by Mark Warschaeur there are a few models by which we can access Information Communication Technology (ICT), namely: Devices, Conduits and Literacy. The first two are the common ways of access to ICT, but without the third one they don’t amount to anything.

It is the easiest way to gain access to ICT and the simple ownership of a mobile phone or a computer can grant one this access. However, the extra costs due to software, no proper knowledge regarding how to handle a computer, government censorship in certain areas poses some problems.

It requires supply to an internet connection line or a telecommunications line. This supply needs a lot of things – the ability of poor families to bear the expenses of the internet, local authorities helping in maintaining the supply. Due to this reason, a geographic distinction is created amongst people. In order to overcome the expenses of internet connection, most people now prefer to rely on their phones for access to the internet. It was found that 37% of Americans primarily access the internet on their phones out of the 96% who own them.

It’s the third and most important way of access to ICT, which cannot rely on devices and conduits alone but needs human and social interactions. If ICT can be used properly then it can boost these resources, or else it will lead to underdevelopment and degeneracy.

A  Few Technologies That Will Blow Up In The Future

Artificial Intelligence:

It’s the technology that gives computer systems the ability to make decisions just like us humans. These programs are put into systems, so as to emulate decisions made by humans through pattern recognition, speech recognition, diagnosis of medical conditions etc. It’s used in Uber applications for navigation, voice assistants like Google. It also finds its use in online video streaming services like Netflix, and in the making of automated devices.

Data Science:

It’s the technology by virtue of which we make sense of complicated data. This data includes customer profiles, data of servers, businesses, sales, and financial figures. The entirety of this data stays jumbled as a big data set. Data Scientists are the ones who actually disintegrate this data, and then patterns and combinations can be analyzed out of them. The analysis gives way into understanding the company’s performance and how to boost it further.

Internet of Things or IOT:

It’s the technology which allows devices to form a network and remain connected to each other and interact together and make way for data sharing. This connection can be achieved through the WIFI and the devices can then share their data with each other and work in a synchronized manner.

It’s the technology which gives power to Cryptocurrencies or Electronic currencies. It can be called an electronic ledger in layman’s terms that users share among themselves which results in the creation of records or blocks that cannot be changed. The time of each record is documented and remains linked to the previous one. The addition of new data to the chain of blocks in such a way that it cannot be erased makes it much safer and secure.
